Info for musicians wanting to play at JATE

 

We love to welcome individual musicians as our guests to join our excellent house band, so if you’re in that category, feel free to get in touch. We are very open to meeting new musicians, and we’ll listen to your links.

 

If we then decline your request, that doesn’t mean that sending us 10 more messages will make us crack… we’re tough like that.

Jazz At The Elephant is a cottage industry. The two of us do all the work on promotion, marketing, booking, admin etc, so we don’t have endless amounts of time to respond to artists who haven’t properly researched what we do.

We’re a small venue, programming two gigs per month, with a maximum capacity of 60. Just think about the economics of that… it’s not going to pay for travel, accommodation, backline hire, extensive press advertising, and so on.

 

If you are looking for gigs for your whole band, or looking for filler dates for your band tour, please don’t target us in your blanket mailings… we just don’t program whole bands, so we’re only going to say no.

 

We do however wish all our fellow musicians the very best for your projects wherever they may take you…
